Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me. But those who seek to destroy my life
shall go down into the depths of the earth;
10 they shall be given over to the power of the sword;
they shall be a portion for jackals.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God;
all who swear by him shall exult,
for the mouths of liars will be stopped. (ESV)

, David not only acknowledges that God is his God, but also seeks after Him earnestly. He doesn’t put his trust in himself, in others, or in the things of the world. Instead he says with confidence that he has seen God’s power and God’s glory. The pursuit of God’s power and glory means we put aside what ‘self’ may feel, think, or want and leave it all behind. It means denying ourselves and placing ALL of our trust in Christ. The more you seek after Him with all of your heart and follow Him fully, the more He will become your All in all, cleansing you, satisfying your longings, healing your wounds, and forming you into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18close2 Corinthians 3:18 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. This week begin to walk forward by faith according to God’s Word instead of according to your own insight and feelings. Put all of your trust in Christ alone. He will make Himself known to you His power and glory.
