A LONG-TERM SOLUTION

READ HEBREWS 10:19–25

Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Lyndsay had a million questions every time she visited her sister, Rhonda, on the ranch. “Is that a new fence? It must have taken you forever to put that up!”

Rhonda replied, “The cattle got out—”

“Then why didn’t you just fix the hole?” interrupted Lindsay.

“Because, little sister, they got out three times. We decided on a long-term solution.”

It’s inevitable that things suddenly come up that prevent you from getting to church—an illness, car trouble, a violent storm. However, other obstacles come up repeatedly. Repeated events preventing us from being together with our fellow believers need long-term solutions. Missing church should not become a habit.

Challenge for Today: What can you do to stay consistent in spending time worshipping with fellow believers?
