READ 1 CHRONICLES 16:37–42
Rick loved to worship God. Since early childhood, he could often be found immersed in the Bible. His music collection was filled with praise songs and hymns. Although others teased him, he remained devoted to God. Rick said he would like to find a job where he could work full-time serving Christ—pastoring or missionary work or with a Christian ministry.
David left Asaph and his associates before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister there regularly (1 Chronicles 16:37).
What a blessing to minister to the Lord regularly, like the Levites who were assigned to praise God. You can seek opportunities to do so each day. Choose to set aside time to spend wholeheartedly in God’s presence, worshiping and communing with Him. No matter how busy you are, you can find a moment to focus on God.
In addition to personal time alone with the Lord, corporate worship will bless you as well as the One who made and saved you. Songs of adoration sung together in harmony help people’s spirits soar and bring spiritual refreshment.
Challenge for Today: Devote time each day to worship the Lord.
