Oh, to realize that souls, precious, never dying souls, are perishing all around us, going out into the blackness of darkness and despair, eternally lost, and yet to feel no anguish, shed no tears, know no travail! How little we know of the compassion of Jesus! Oswald J. Smith
Do we have compassion for souls?
Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Jesus came to connect people with God. Jesus was accused of being a drunkard and a glutton, not because He was overweight or given to intemperance, but because He frequented places where these things were commonplace. If guilt by association were a legitimate offense, Jesus would have lost His sinlessness early in His ministry. But He came to seek and to save the lost. He found them gathered in His Father’s world. There may be some people you have rejected or dismissed as beyond God’s grace. Don’t give up praying for them and reaching out to them. God’s grace has power to save and transform anyone!
