EMERGE TRIUMPHANT

READ ROMANS 8:26–30

Perry Mason was a classic television defense attorney. He stood between the accused and the judge. His job was to build a case for His client that would appeal to the judge. He represented his clients in a manner that they would not have been able to do on their own. It was the job of the client to trust Mason’s counsel and to behave as instructed. At the end of almost every case, Mason’s clients emerged triumphant.

Jesus said He would ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit as an Advocate for the believer (John 14:16,26). He works both to intercede with the Father, and to help believers live in a manner that is pleasing to the Father.

And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God

(Romans 8:27).

Christians can have confidence that they are being represented well before the throne of God. If they will listen to the Spirit’s counsel and heed His advice, they will emerge from this life triumphantly.

Challenge for Today: Place your trust in the Holy Spirit and live according to His counsel.
