READ 1 PETER 1:13–21
But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do (1 Peter 1:15).
God, your Father, is holy. In everything He does He is pure and perfectly righteous. God called you to be a member of His family. Because you are His child, you are to be like Him. Your conduct, attitudes, and desires should reflect the character of God.
Your outward behavior begins with the attitudes and desires that you nurture. When you cultivate thankfulness, you become generous. When you cultivate love, you are kind. As the Holy Spirit works in you to produce the fruit of the Spirit, you become more like your Father. When others look at you, will they know you are God’s child because they can see the family resemblance?
Prayer Suggestion: Lord, help me to reflect Your character.
