The Christian life isn’t a fairytale. It hurts sometimes. We see and experience so much darkness throughout our lives. It is difficult, and at times, almost impossible to see God’s glory, or God’s perfect plan when we are suffering at the core of our being. But here’s the good news! In our darkest hours, God is with us, holding us with His arms so that we do not fall “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:27. Even though you may not see Him in the moment, He is there and he does promise us the pain will end. “the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.” Isaiah 60:20b.
