GOD’S WAY

READ DEUTERONOMY 12:1 THROUGH 14:29

Throughout his lifetime, Moses continually reminded the congregation to serve the Lord the right way—God’s way. It was unacceptable for them to try to approach God in the same manner as the Egyptians and the Canaanites did their gods. Israel’s God was unique. He stood alone in goodness and superiority. He made His will known, and Israel was free to choose.

The same is true for Christians today too. God is matchless in authority and love. His desire is to be known and worshiped. From the beginning, He had a plan for a relationship with humanity. It is a deliberate choice to believe and follow Him, to honor Him by accepting the sacrifice of Christ. It is also a deliberate choice to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

The choices are yours. What will you do?

Prayer

Lord, help me to honor You.

Verse

You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods. – Deuteronomy 12:31
