READ EPHESIANS 4:11–16
Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (Ephesians 4:11–12).
Since he was quite young, Jared had spent time in the woodshop with his grandfather, Mark, whose hobby had become a profitable business in his retirement years. Now in his twenties, Jared realized how many valuable skills he had learned. “Grandpa, I can remember you letting me help you when I was probably more of a nuisance than anything else.”
Mark just smiled. “I enjoy helping you learn as much as I enjoy the job itself. Someone needs to keep doing this after I’m gone.”
