I CAN’T BUT HE CAN

Psalm 63:1You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
Has the thought ever crossed your mind, “There must be more to a relationship with God than this!” Is life and its challenges often overwhelming? Do you ever feel like a failure? Hurting? Discouraged? All alone? You say, I can’t go on like this! Well, you’re not alone, and you can go on! In this Psalm David finds himself in the middle of a desert, (all alone) yet he knows the source of love and true life and unlimited refreshment. David says that he hungers and thirsts and yearns after God.The place of “I can’t” is a great place to be. Because then we will stop trying and depend on God, who is the only one who can get us there. Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water'” (John 7:37-38 ESV).
Stand right under the waterfall of His Word and let it pour over you; spend time in His Word, take it in, think it through, and drink it deeply by faith. The Lord longs for us to come to Him, to desire His character and His righteousness, and to live a life with one focus, one purpose, one God, all so that we will know-truly know and experience- the majesty and power of His glory!
