READ ROMANS 6:12–18
An expensive musical instrument may be beautiful, but most of them won’t play themselves. Normally they need be in the hand of a musician to produce pleasing sounds. When an instrument is provided to a master musician, its potential can become reality.
Offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness (Romans 6:13).
When you became a follower of Jesus, your life became available to accomplish His purposes. You can be even more useful to Him through living as He calls you to live.
Every day a choice must be made—whether or not to pursue a righteous lifestyle of holiness. This isn’t always easy, but the Holy Spirit helps. He provides guidance on how to live more like Jesus. You and your fellow Christians can encourage and support each other as you practice holiness together. Each day your availability as an instrument improves, and it brings joy to the Lord.
Challenge for Today: Look for opportunities today to be a tool in the hands of God.
