READ GALATIANS 6:1–10
After long days at work, Lana usually rested in the evening, but springtime meant going from the office to the backyard, at least for several days. As she looked at the pictures on the seed packets, she reminded herself of the salad greens and other vegetables that would be her reward in the weeks and months to come. She felt for a few evenings that she had a “second job” out in the garden—but it was worth it.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
God compares the actions of serving Him to seeds planted in the ground. Those who keep planting and don’t give up, will see positive results. It’s not always easy to do the right thing. Your non-Christian friends and coworkers may seem to have an easier life than you, and Satan may tempt you to try living their way for a while. However, you have God’s promise that His blessing will come to those who faithfully serve Him. Keep planting!
Thought for Today: What kind of seed are you putting into the ground of your life?
