READ ACTS 4:23–31
A secular workplace can be very discouraging for a believer. Some Christians put their heads down and just try to get through the day. But Christians have access to a power that can allow them to be a bold light in the darkness that surrounds them.
The Christians who were baptized in the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost were facing a great deal of persecution. In their darkest days, they were infused with power once again by the Holy Spirit.
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly (Acts 4:31).
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is not a one-time event. The Holy Spirit will fill you repeatedly to provide you with power when you need it the most. When you struggle with the darkness that surrounds you, follow the lead of the early Christians and pray. The Holy Spirit will give you the power to live a successful Christian life.
Challenge for Today: Don’t allow the Baptism in the Holy Spirit to be a historical event in your life. Seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.
