READ 1 SAMUEL 16:1 THROUGH 17:58
When the Olympic swimming champion visited an elementary school, a student asked him if he had been nervous before the final race. “Maybe a little,” he said. “But I had spent many years preparing. All my training, the thousands of practice laps, and the competition at local, state, and national levels made the difference. I knew everything I had gone through made me ready to do my best in the Olympics.”
Preparation and experience matter.
“The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you” (1 Samuel 17:37).
Everyone faces trials and challenges in life. Every warrior gains valuable knowledge and experience in each battle, making them more confident of victory in the conflicts ahead.
Christians should realize that God is with them in every situation. All the trials you overcome increase your faith and prepare you for even greater victories ahead.
Thought for Today:
Today’s trials are training for future opportunities.
