READ PSALMS 27:1 THROUGH 33:22
The world shouts for attention in a myriad of ways. The din of busyness and endless concerns buries good intentions. How can the child of God rise above these unfulfilled expectations to answer the purpose of the high calling of God?
My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek (Psalm 27:8).
David faced life’s circumstances just like every other person—one day at a time. He had enemies without and reason to fear within. But he didn’t give in to his fears. Instead, he proclaimed his trust in God and delighted to live in His presence. He chose not to listen to the war cries of his enemies, but instead he lifted his voice and cried to the One who was the stronghold of his life.
His relationship with God was the central most important aspect of his life. David’s soul shouted, “Seek His face!” His heart yearned for God more than any other voice in the busy world.
When believers choose to pray like David and determine to seek God’s face, God will not disappoint.
Thought for Today:
Those who seek God with their whole heart will find Him.
