Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone (Deuteronomy 34:7).
People sometimes view their lives as insignificant or small, but God can call anyone and has good plans for everyone. Consider Moses’ astounding life: he was a slave, a royal, a fugitive, a leader, and, most notably, a friend of God. At the age of eighty, Moses was called to lead Israel out of Egypt to the Promised Land. He traveled with them for forty years in the desert. Consider the incredible strength and endurance needed for the task. God gave Moses the stamina and wisdom Moses needed to fulfill the leadership role he was called to.
Godly people may sometimes feel unqualified, ill-prepared, or too old to answer God’s call. When people rely on their own abilities, failure stalks their efforts. But strength and wisdom can come as people spend time with God. He can provide what is needed for any task, and He empowers those who obey Him.
