READ PSALM 19:7–14
“I’ve tried everything,” Amy complained, “but my marriage is still a mess. My kids are a mess. And I’m a mess because life keeps getting worse, even though I’m doing all the right stuff—the stuff I’ve read about online.”
“Forgive me for saying this again,” Heather apologized, “but you need Jesus. He’s the ultimate expert. If you surrender to Him and follow His ways, your life will start turning around. You see, people who follow Jesus are blessed even when they face hard times.”
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes (Psalm 19:8).
God knows what His people need. In Old Testament times, the Holy Spirit spoke through specific individuals, giving them messages and directions for His people. Now, He has sent the Holy Spirit to guide and bless all of His children. Life will always be challenging. But, for people who follow Him, even the bad times can turn out for good.
Challenge for Today: God knows your longings and needs better than anyone, so determine to trust only in Him for guidance.
